Building upon the insights garnered during the initial phase of the NBunker project, we transitioned our focus from offline to online optimization. Leveraging real-time AIS data, we can now offer immediate recommended arrival times for incoming vessels. This enhances the efficiency of the bunkering process, reducing both wait times for vessels outside and inside the anchorage area.
The aim of this Just-in-Time (JIT) arrival system is to furnish the port and shipping industries, along with port and maritime administrations, with insights and recommendations on streamlining the arrival of ships. This is done with the objective of minimizing greenhouse gas emissions through the optimization of port call procedures and offering sustainable solutions to customers across the entire supply chain.
